Arabidopsis thaliana regulatory element analyzer
UNLABELLED In the Arabidopsis thaliana regulatory element analyzer (AtREA) server, we have integrated sequence data, genome-wide expression data and functional annotation data in three application modules which will be useful to identify major regulatory targets of a user-provided cis-regulatory element (CRE), study different features of CRE distribution and evaluate the role of a set of CREs i...
متن کاملAtNPF2.5 Modulates Chloride (Cl−) Efflux from Roots of Arabidopsis thaliana
The accumulation of high concentrations of chloride (Cl-) in leaves can adversely affect plant growth. When comparing different varieties of the same Cl- sensitive plant species those that exclude relatively more Cl- from their shoots tend to perform better under saline conditions; however, the molecular mechanisms involved in maintaining low shoot Cl- remain largely undefined. Recently, it was...
متن کاملOrganization and cell differentiation in lateral roots of Arabidopsis thaliana.
Lateral root formation in plants involves the stimulation of mature pericycle cells to proliferate and redifferentiate to create a new organ. The simple organization of the root of Arabidopsis thaliana allows the development of lateral root primordia to be characterized histologically. We have divided the process of lateral root development into 8 stages defined by specific anatomical character...
متن کاملProteome changes in Arabidopsis thaliana roots upon exposure to Cd2+.
Cadmium is a major environmental pollutant that enters human food via accumulation in crop plants. Responses of plants to cadmium exposure--which directly influence accumulation rates--are not well understood. In general, little is known about stress-elicited changes in plants at the proteome level. Alterations in the root proteome of hydroponically grown Arabidopsis thaliana plants treated wit...
متن کاملTransposition pattern of the maize element Ds in Arabidopsis thaliana.
As part of establishing an efficient transposon tagging system in Arabidopsis using the maize elements Ac and Ds, we have analyzed the inheritance and pattern of Ds transposition in four independent Arabidopsis transformants. A low proportion (33%) of plants inheriting the marker used to monitor excision contained a transposed Ds. Selection for the transposed Ds increased this to at least 49%. ...
